Comments: Felt really good during swim. Had a little trouble sighting bc had no idea where the route was. Also, looking directly into sun after rounding first buoy. Otherwise, pretty happy with swim. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1

Comments: Felt REALLY good on bike. This was first race that I felt really good coming off the bike. Normally I hate the bike and can't wait to get off. Today, I was actually upset when the bike was over. Also, set a new PR for avg speed. Probably could have actually pushed a little harder after the turnaround. What would you do differently?: Not much, try to keep a little faster pace. Transition 2
Comments: Wasn't familiar with race course, so took feet out of shoes a little too early. Didn't slow me down too much thankfully. What would you do differently?: leave feet in shoes longer Run
Comments: Bad side cramps started before mile 1 and continued until finish line. Kept a good pace for first 5k, cramps really started to bother me during the second half and lost a little off my pace. What would you do differently?: Figure out why I keep cramping. Post race
Warm down: Couple waters, gatorade, then beer and spaghetti. Event comments: By far the most fun and well-organized race I've done. Will definitely be doing this race again next year! Last updated: 2012-02-22 12:00 AM

Woke up 430am, PB and honey on toast and a banana. Drove to racesite, set up transition, got race chip and body marking.
Rode bike for ~1mi, got shoes right and bike in right gear
