  • Comments: I was really happy with my performance until mile 3 of the run. This was my first experience with an electrolyte imbalance and cramping. I only drank water. Lesson learned. That's a problem for me. I sweat way too much to not replace. Just after mile 3, my right quad siezed and I could barely trot to the next aid station for Gatorade. I was good to go by mile 5 but I had lost too much time. Work on my hydration strategy!

  • Comments: Turns out I never did a race report for this one. Poop. Now, it's a bit far gone. The swim was okay. The bike was terrible. The run was great. My fastest 10k in a tri.

  • Comments: This is a great race on, what I think, is a great course. It sold out this year at 500 registered (but it looks like not nearly that many showed up to race) The Ridgeland department of parks and recreation really do a great job when they put on activities like this. I've been involved in a few of them and they always seem to be run well and are very well supported.

  • Comments: This race makes me want a double cheeseburger. It's challenging, hot, fun, organized, etc. And all I want when I finish is a double cheesburger. I just had one. So, goodnight.

  • Comments: Awards were a little late and they did my age group last, so that was a little irritating because I had somewhere to go afterward. I won my age group, though, and I got a cool ceramic bowl. I did like the food they served after the race, too. This one was well organized and everyone seemed excited to be there.

  • Comments: Very good race. Reservoir is gross, but can't do anything about that. Seemed to be a couple of glitches in results and, obviously, bike course was not as measured. These things happen, though.

  • Comments: This would have been a very good race if it wasn't for the swim. The bike course was fun. The run only had a few inclines that hurt. I am sorry to hear that next year it will be a Sprint again. I would love to try it with the appropriate swim distance. Olympic distances are what I have been shooting for and to loose one so close to home sucks. Post race I was wore out. It may be a combination of no sleep and extra hard exertion but I can't help drifting off to sleep every hour for 5 minutes or so. My body still feels hot. I'm chaffed under my arms from swimming so long (and I didn't have a wet suit or any kind of tri top). In general have that "bad" feeling that comes and goes after a hard race.

  • Comments: THIS IS THE BEST race I have done in my short carer. I have done, in two years about 20 races ad this one is by FAR the best. The swim, the bike AND the run were perfect, shaded, fun, the bike was glorious. THE VOLUNTEERS were the best. I mean I loved this race
