Run
Comments: This was my fastest 5k time ever. Weird, I actually held back for the first time and did very well! Imagine that. If only I did what I tell others to do. I started out front and was 5th after mile 1. Passed 1 guy and another passed me. No one else passed me on this run. What would you do differently?: Nothing, crap it was awesome. Transition 1
Comments: Some dude almost ran me off the course trying to get on his bike. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: Fun to ride on the dam one once. It seemed windy in both directions. What would you do differently?: Push a bit harder through out the race. Transition 2
Comments: I flew here. 18 seconds! What would you do differently?: Ah, nothing Run
Comments: This is where the wheels fell off. I started the second run in 2nd position and was passed by 2 others in my agegroup and 1 or 2 others in an older age group. I was toast, well my legs were. I hit the first hill and I knew I had nothing left. I was able to hold on to 4th place. What would you do differently?: I need to woork more hills. I should know that, I haven't run any! Post race
Warm down: Walked around and talked to people. What limited your ability to perform faster: Hills for sure. Everything else was great! Event comments: Great food and drinks afterwards. I got to see many friends and met new ones. Darrin puts on great races, and to watch the pros. Shoot they fly! Good to see Julia is alive and to see her husband Chris again. I finally paced myself better on the run. I ran a 5:48 at the first mile instead of a 5:10 a blew myself up. I felt calm and relaxed the whole time. Last updated: 2006-05-12 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5:30 to eat some breakfast. Loaded the bottles with water and gatorade and brought the coffee along. Loaded up the bike and headed to the rez that was about 2 miles away. I should have ridden over.
Jog and some pick ups. Didn't get on the bike.
