Swim
Comments: drifted right, happy with first effort What would you do differently?: better sighting Transition 1
Comments: Ate Gu and drank some gatorade What would you do differently?: Dry feet faster, consider tri-specific sockless shoes, eat/drink on bike Bike
Transition 2
Run
Comments: good run, felt slow but had good pace. Had to stop for 10 sec to stretch calves Post race
Warm down: jog to car What limited your ability to perform faster: sighting on swim, bike speed, T1, cramping on run Event comments: Very nice organizers. First time they held this race, so some aspects were a little rough around the edges, but very friendly course/environment for folks new to the sport. I'm sure any small snags will be worked out in the future. Post-race food was great. The lake is PERFECT for those getting used to open water swimming. All in all, I highly recommend it, especially for those looking for a low-stress sprint distance race to try. Last updated: 2012-03-12 12:00 AM
