good run, felt slow but had good pace. Had to stop for 10 sec to stretch calves

Event comments:

Very nice organizers. First time they held this race, so some aspects were a little rough around the edges, but very friendly course/environment for folks new to the sport. I'm sure any small snags will be worked out in the future. Post-race food was great. The lake is PERFECT for those getting used to open water swimming. All in all, I highly recommend it, especially for those looking for a low-stress sprint distance race to try.
