i just suck in a headwind. picked an easy gear and spun then cranked it with the tailwind. i did get my nutrition right here as i was set to go when i got off the bike.

about a mile out, i realized i had lost my timing chip. after a couple of miles of grumbling to myself, i decided to just forget about it and run. it was liberating and fun!
