Swim
Comments: I swam pretty relaxed - I felt like I sighted pretty well, but I did not swim with the pack. The site buoys were too far apart for me to see at some points. What would you do differently?: Swim with the pack, and try and draft more. Transition 1
Comments: I went pretty slow in T1 - I haven't raced in 2 years for my transition was a bit rough. What would you do differently?: work on moving faster, and trying to run more - wasted too much time being lazy. Bike
Comments: I think the bike went well - I stayed in control the whole time, and didn't make any large moves when people passed me early. I counted 20 people passing me early, and I passed 18 of them back by the end. What would you do differently?: Probably take less of the sodium tabs, and maybe drink more water and less gatorade. Transition 2
Comments: I didn't really rush out of transition and took my time. I am definitely rusty on transition. What would you do differently?: work on dismounting better, and running quicker into transition. Organize myself better and go faster from bare feet to shoes. Run
Comments: I threw up on mile 2 for awhile - too much sodium tabs is what i suspect. I was able to regroup for the most part, but i think i should have ran harder. i never pushed myself to an uncomfortable level What would you do differently?: try and push harder, and make the run hurt - i should have been easily able to run sub 1:30 Post race
Warm down: I got a massage after the race and tried to stretch a bit. then did 130 push ups as required by my challenge What limited your ability to perform faster: rusty - i think i should have focused a bit more on saving time in places better. the run should have been harder- i took it way too easy , and didn't push when i felt mild discomfort. Ate 2 bagels in the morning, and had half a bottle of gatorade
stretched out a bit, and then put on the wetsuit 10 minutes before the race. I swam a 100m warm up.
