given recent knee problems in meniscus and femur cartilage had to seriously scale back expectations on the first run portion.
What would you do differently?:

surged in last half mile of 1st leg but now realize that was pointless given energy expended. Would have been better to conserve and wind up the effort towards end.

first ever attempt at transitioning to cycling. was slow and bungling in transition and only just fumbled into pedals.
What would you do differently?:

Must practice this part if I am going to get better.

Completely missed a 90 degree turn after half a mile and lost some ground. But enjoyed the ride after getting back on course and really hammering the rest of the course.

Learn the course a bit more!

Practice and learn how to rack a bike.

Could not feel my legs and was very shaky off the bike. However, I guess my competition felt the same way since I did not lose ground.
