Pre-race routine:

Breakfast was English muffin, banana, yogurt and coffee. 15m before race I ate one GU.
Event warmup:

Did some light stretching while waiting in the crowd of 47,000 people.
Run
  • 1h 26m 36s
  • 7.46 miles
  • 11m 37s  min/mile
Comments:

Running with that many people had its benefits and created frustration. Not sure if I would have been faster or slower if the run provided me a clear shot. I was dodging and weaving the entire time. According my my iphone I ran 7.8m. That must be due to all the weaving.
What would you do differently?:

Have sunglasses or a visor. the sun has not shown up in Idaho for weeks, so I thought I would be fine at the race, but I was squinting so much.
Post race
Warm down:

Long walk to meet up with friends.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Crowds of people.

Event comments:

I give a four only because I didn't really like how many people were there, but its a personal thing. Next year if I do it I will make sure I start in an earlier wave so I can avoid more of the people walking.
