Swim
Comments: Couldn't get a good breathing pattern Felt really awkward = nerves...imagine that... What would you do differently?: Started more aggresively. I had a good time, but bad positioning from the starting point. If I would have sprinted out the front I wouldn't have had to fight that hard. The frenzy wore me out. Transition 1
Comments: I felt like I did really well I was the actual disoriented feeling that took a while, but the change went pretty good. I just trotted instead of ran. What would you do differently?: RUN!!! Bike
Comments: Pleased I guess. This whole road biking thing is really new to me. I like it...but I need to ride more. What would you do differently?: Need more time on the road. I need sustained speed work. GET COMPUTER NEXT!!!!! Transition 2
Comments: Ouch What would you do differently?: Nothing just train more for aftershock Run
Comments: First mile and a half sucked. After mile 2 or so I was fine and I could have run another 3 miles. But that is the evil of a Sprint. What would you do differently?: Keep training Post race
Warm down: FOOD!!! What limited your ability to perform faster: transitioning from one concentration to another. Event comments: Great first triathlon. I was overall ok with my performance. I took note of all the little things that would have cut a couple of minutes here and there. I need to increase my intensity. Gave me a great marker for pointing out where I need work. The usual + nerves :)
Swam about 125yds I could have done more but I just wanted to feel the water. My wave didnt start for about half an hour after the first wave. So "warmup" didn't count.
No running
no bike
Maybe a light jog at the house pre race to get the blood flowing.
