Pre-race routine:

Just wake up! Not much sleep - went to bed around 10 or 11 and woke up aroud 3:30. Oh yeah, had a bagel.

Comments:

Good ride...a lot of accidents this year, though. At least two ambulance calls and generally an unusual amount of battered and bleeding people. Might have been the cross-winds. Also, the attendence was at a high - possibly a lrge number of less experienced riders.
What would you do differently?:

Well, I wouldn't say I would do it differently, but I ran into my girlfriend for the last 50 miles (she was doing the shorter 66 mile route) and rode with her for the remainder at a slower pace. I'd like to have the opportunity to do this ride all out the whole way to see what my time would be.
Post race
Warm down:

None, really - caught the train back to NYC. Had to wait over an hour for our bikes, which were trucked back...apparently the truck had an accident on the way...

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Slowing to spend time w/ my girl

Event comments:

Nice event...I've done it about 5 times and always enjoy it...
