Pre-race routine:

Rode up with Steve and Nancy enjoyed that, picked up packet set up transition (this is getting easier to do).

Swam a little bit then got ready to start.

Comments:

The Clydesdales started with the women and relays, this did not mean that there wasn't any bumping and pushing and we where into the back of the first wave in about 200 yards. Overall I am happy with this swim but I feel I can go faster.

Bike starts with a little uphill but I was able to get comfortable and going pretty early.

Pushed the bike because I knew my run was lacking, but really could have probably gone a little faster
What would you do differently?:

not try to change gears on the only hill just powered up it missed a gear and really slowed down for a second

Got the tongue of my shoe stuck and had to put the shoe on twice
What would you do differently?:

not screwup putting on shoe, had the slowest transition of all clydes and probably lost first right here

Have been nursing a hip injury and new my run would be bad but if I would have run 14 seconds faster per mile I would have finished first

Just keep working on the run and trust that it will get better

Just need to work on run and smoothing out transition

Event comments:

In truth I improved my time 23 minutes from the last time I did this race and I took home some hardware I really can't complain.
