Comments: first open water swm, i stayed to the left of the course line to avoid peopl, it also made navigation easier, since i could see group on right. What would you do differently?: I started out at the back since I was a newbie. However I will start closer to the front next time. I passed a lot of people who could not swim well and I could not start my rhythm until after the first buoy. I will also push on the swim. It is relatively short and I could do alot better. Comments: I took my time to switch over. No rush at all, so next time I will push some. Bike
Comments: I only have a hybrid bike with the fat tires. I also used my running shoes and tow clips. Overall I need more training over getting a better bike. What would you do differently?: Practice on a longer distance with some interval pushes. Transition 2
Comments: Already had running shoes on. So dump and run. Run
Comments: My legs were tired at this point. My achilles tendon was sore from training and my right leg was in slight pain. Also I stopped for a minute or two at the start of the run due to equipment failure. What would you do differently?: Make sure equipment is in order for run. Post race
Warm down: none What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of muscle endurance in bike and run. Event comments: For a first time race I highly recommend this race.
