Swim
Comments: Holy cold water and big waves. Tough swimming through those swells, but we all had to do it, right? I had good sighting, stayed on buoys, no drifting. Good breathing through the chop. Tried to push it. What would you do differently?: Not much. Transition 1
Comments: Lost 40-70 seconds here being indecisive on if I needed socks/arm warmers etc. What would you do differently?: Make a plan, stick with it, don't waffle. Bike
Comments: Great bike (for me). Pushed it. Not a lot of knee pain. Pretty happy to keep a good pace that got stronger as it went on. Transition 2
Comments: Oops, came in a little hot and caught my foot on the rear bottle cage. Put it down from a dead stop, but I was already feet out of shoes. Good speed once in transition. What would you do differently?: Don't fall like an idiot. Run
Comments: Was pretty gassed after the run, but had negative splits. I was slower than last year and Timberman, but I'll take it. Was getting a bit of a tweak in both hamstrings. What would you do differently?: Run more in training, I've been off for 2 weeks entirely since PMan Post race
Warm down: pizza and egg sandwiches. Event comments: I really like this race. Super pretty, although late September weather can usually be pretty sketchy. Nice along the ocean. Will do again next year (plus it's only 10 miles from the house) Last updated: 2012-07-01 12:00 AM

Nice race close to the house Had some toast and peanut butter and made the 25 minute ride. Spent a little too much time obsessing over what to wear for the elements. Ended up as normal, just tri top and shorts.
Quick jog, and a 2 minute swim to get acclimated to the cold water.
