Pre-race routine:

Left work ~3:30. Had a good group in the van so we had fun ride up. Found team tent, got bibs from Mark, picked up shirts, and then hung out at tent until time to warm up.
Event warmup:

Ran maybe a quarter of a mile or so with Allison C.

Comments:

They had three waves this year which was really nice. Allison C and I were in the second wave and were able to line up pretty close to the line. I never do too well at this race, but I wasn't expecting to this time so it was still fun.
What would you do differently?:

I think maybe next year I'll try doing some evening training runs. Some speedwork would help.
Post race
Warm down:

Long walk through the chute and back to the tent.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training...

Event comments:

I said "good" for post race activities but that's only because we brought our own. What the race provides is pretty pathetic.

Our men were smoking fast and they won again. I think in record time. The first women's team got 5th and I was on the 2nd women's team that ended up in 19th. There were 144 women's teams so that was pretty good.

It's a fun event, but frustrating because I always hope to do better than I do.
