Overall Rank = 97/632
Age Group = 30-34
Age Group Rank = 16/73
Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 5:30, quick shower and drove down to race course. Uneventful
Event warmup:

Just some like stretching.
Swim
  • 11m 18s
  • 500 meters
  • 02m 16s / 100 meters
Comments:

Swim went okay, for not practicing at all since last race. Had to pick head up more than I would have liked to sight. Kept having to swim over a few wayward folks
What would you do differently?:

Practice, get lessons, and practice more
Transition 1
  • 01m 19s
Comments:

Went about as well as it could.
What would you do differently?:

Need to learn to do the flying squirel jump on bike thing....would save a few seconds
Bike
  • 41m 47s
  • 13.8 miles
  • 19.82 mile/hr
Comments:

I've been upping the bike mileage lately, doing hill repeats, etc and it's been helping my times. This wasn't an A race so I didn't layoff the training at all leading up to it, could feel it in my legs a little bit
What would you do differently?:

If I would have tappered I probably could have gone a little faster, other than that....not much. I did drop one of my water bottles on the course with the bumpy roads....just wasn't paying enough attention.
Transition 2
  • 01m
Comments:

Some idiot put his bike in the wrong spot in T2 and I had to shove his over, mine fell off the rack. It wasn't the same bike that was their when i went out on course.
What would you do differently?:

This was out of my control so I still had a good T2
Run
  • 22m 31s
  • 3 miles
  • 07m 31s  min/mile
Comments:

Didn't think I was keeping this good of a pace but I'll take it. Legs felt tired from yesterdays 9miler but I was still able to kick the last 1/4mile and pass a few folks in my AG.
What would you do differently?:

If it's an A race I would have tapperd at least a little, since it wasnt this was good
Post race
Warm down:

water bottle, shiner blonde light beer, kool kone...a little rest and then an afternoon bike ride of 45miles:)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

No taper. This wasn't an A race so I went in with a little tired legs, but overall I felt good

Event comments:

A great smaller race..another well run event by High Five events. Bettered my time over the same course by more than 12min! so my workouts seem to be working. Feeling really good about my performance.
