Swim
Comments: This by far was my best swim and for some reason there was little to no contact at all! I was concerned I was way off course, but maybe I just found a good pocket that nobody else was in. What would you do differently?: Absolutely nothing. Transition 1
Comments: This was a decent T1 for me. I got a hint from a guy on how to rack my bike on the back of my seat on the cage I have. It made it so much easier to just grab the bike and go forward as opposed to having to pull it out from under the rack. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: By far my best bike ever. I now really want to buy those wheels from the shop, but need to wait and save a little bit of cash. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 2
Comments: I had forgot my good short socks at the hotel, so I had to put on the ones that I had with me and that took me longer than I would have liked. What would you do differently?: Bring the socks I want with me. Run
Comments: This is by far my weakest segment and for some reason my heart rate stayed close to 155 the entire time. I couldn't seem to get it to come down. I am happy with my performance in the run though. What would you do differently?: Try to relax more. Post race
Warm down: Drank the luke warm water and had a few cookies. I usually love to have a coke after the race, but this race they were selling them and who carries cash with them during a race? Event comments: After the race I met another member of BT and I think my goal is now to add one person from the forum from each race I attend. This was a great race for me mentally. It was only my second Olympic, and I went from 2:45 at Deer Creek to 2:28 here! That is a PR by 17 minutes. If I could only do that again at my next one I would be in contention for one of those top three spots! :-) Last updated: 2012-07-17 12:00 AM

Got up around 5. Was staying at a hotel about 25 minutes away. Tried not to wake up my wife and two kids (didn't happen). Grabbed a bagel and a breakfast bar. Had some powerade on the way to the site. Got there really fast. I think there were only like 5 cars in the lot when I arrived.
Did a short bike ride as I was on new tires and rims (I had only ridden on them twice). My friends at Portage Cyclery let me use some Mercury S5 carbon wheels. Swam about 200-300 yards and did my backfloat meditation before the Girls Tri Too race.
