Swim
Comments: My swim is just not good. Until I put some effort into it, it ain't gonna get better either. It may be time to join the Master's group in the off season. What would you do differently?: Learn to swim better. Transition 1
Comments: Another area that could use some improvement. Just work through the steps mentally and get it all down in my head. Also, make sure that the bike is in the proper gear and the comp is reset and it'll all be OK. What would you do differently?: Get my helmet on and strapped correctly. Bike
Comments: The only part I have no complaints about. The aerobars really helped, I was able to keep going very well. Even steered in aero through a number of corners. Quite happy with the bike. What would you do differently?: Give the whole bike a once over prior to the race. Transition 2
Comments: Dismount was good, long run to the rack. Off/on went OK, so I have no complaints. What would you do differently?: Don't try to inhale 4 gummies while exiting transition. Get everything in place, then grab 1. 4 is stupid, duh. Run
Comments: Another slow effort. I gotta improve this in the off season. What would you do differently?: More time on the streets, more running in general. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: My less than stellar cardio capacity. Event comments: I enjoy this race and I can't wait until the road is re-paved. It is supposed to happen this fall. Last updated: 2012-07-18 12:00 AM

Wake at 5:00, have a bagel, water, and finish packing. Out the door by 5:30.
Walk down to the water edge, stretch and such. I also spent a bit of time thinking about the fact that I was on a cruise a week ago and had 3 spotty weeks of training prior to this event. I'm just laying out the excuses before I get too far into this. All joking aside, I kept my expectations low and figured I could just have some fun and learn a little bit.
