| Swim
Comments: Swim went very well for me. I lined up toward the front of the group, right in the middle, hoping to find some open water that way. Normally I would line up to the outside but that seemed to be where everyone else was gathering. Felt calm and smooth, drafted a few times and passed a couple of men from the wave in front of me. I have some doubts as to the actual distance, it seemed long. Looking at the swim times for some of the leaders seems to confirm this. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 1
Comments: Long way across the transition to the bike out. Bike
Comments: I enjoyed the bike leg. Transition 2
  Run
Comments: It is what it is. Getting to that age where "nothing is wrong but everything hurts" when I run. Took walk breaks every 5 minutes. Post race Event comments: The new race directors have done a great job with "ramping up" this race from where it was a few years ago. Finishers pint glasses, great shirts, great post race food are all appreciated very much! Last updated: 2012-07-27 12:00 AM |
