Swim
Comments: Went out fast as planned. Got ahead of the pack. Fell back after that. Somehow stayed ahead of the main washing machine. Good thing it was a slow wave. What would you do differently?: Continue training to maintain initial push out on such a short distance. Happy with position given 3rd triathlon, but this is definitely my weakest segment. I need to pull harder in the mid-swim area. Transition 1
What would you do differently?: Maybe a little more hustle, but one of the better transitions so I'm happy. Bike
Comments: Killed it on the bike. Not the area to focus on for next time. What would you do differently?: Secure water bottle/don't knock it off when jumping on. As a result, no hydration for the duration of the race (barely touched run aid station water). Transition 2
Comments: Good transition. Shoes took a tad too much time to put on. Run
Comments: Really happy with the run which was at my standalone 5k race pace. Previous triathlons had resulted in dropping of 3+ minutes. What would you do differently?: Push even harder - I had the energy! Post race
Warm down: None. Too happy. What limited your ability to perform faster: Swim and too new to triathlons. Event comments: Good job Playtri! This was a beautiful venue and a well organized race. Last updated: 2012-08-19 12:00 AM
