Up early for breakfast of oatmeal and banana and cup of coffee.

No warm up. Ambient temp was too cold to get in to the heated pool and get out after a warm up swim.

A little slow transition. Took a while to get my jacket on since I was wet from swim but due to 50 degree temps and wind jacket was necessary on bike.

Had trouble here getting my running shoes on. Feet were numb from the cold. Ended up having to sit down and untie my shoes to get them on.
What would you do differently?:

Will either change laces to speed laces or will put baby powder in shoes next weekend.

Felt good the entire run. Suffered some side cramps part way thru the run but was able to push thru.

Warm down:

Got some water and food and found my family. Ended up wrapping up in a blanket because once I cooled down I started to get really cold.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Slow T2. Overall great race!

Event comments:

Great race. Lots of volunteers on the bike and run course. 3rd year in a row of doing the Morton Tri. Seems to get better every year.
