Comments: Took it too easy on the bike. Still trying to get used to the tri bike... this race was only my 3rd ride on it. What would you do differently?: Push it a little harder. Transition 2
Comments: Took a little extra time to drink. What would you do differently?: Take less time, no drink. Run
Comments: Simply just didn't push it. Also lost at least 5 minutes due to a fork in the trail not being marked as to which way to go. Ended up running over .5Mi extra due to this. Somebody post-race said that some of the barricades had been removed by someone, but the race officials should have marked this turn with paint on the trail like every other turn. What would you do differently?: Push it a little more. Post race
Warm down: Stretch. What limited your ability to perform faster: My tri training has taken a hit due to CrossFit. I will be starting my CrossFit training in the mornings to give me more time after work for tri training. Event comments: Need to continue to lose the weight. Also need to not hold back as much. Ate a pear, loaded the car and drove 10 minutes to the race location. Set up my transition area and had a Gu and some water.
