What would you do differently?: Train more? Eh, who cares. Transition 1
Comments: I was at the entrance to transition, so I had a nice long mud run to the bike out. I was the only person in my area that was in any kind of rush, and I didn't even move that fast. Almost forgot to put on my SHOES. Who does that? What would you do differently?: Nothing! Bike
Comments: It was 50 degrees and only 10 miles so it was hard to decide if I needed more clothes. I opted for "it's only 10 miles, suck it up!" Which was not the GREATEST choice. My fingers were too frozen to handle my water bottles, my stomach was ON FIRE with the cold wind on my wet tri top. Other than that, considering I haven't ridden in MONTHS, it was a wonderful little saturday country ride! What would you do differently?: PUT ON A LONG SLEEVE SHIRT!!! Transition 2
Comments: I forgot about brick-legs. I could BARELY MOVE in transition. Run
Comments: First mile was pretty painful, guessing due to the bike legs. But the rest of the run was fantastic. Running is all I've been doing for months, and it's paying off in how damn COMFORTABLE I feel out there. A group of kids in an apartment complex were cheering for us, that was cute. What would you do differently?: Nothing! Post race
Warm down: FIND SWEATPANTS. FIND SWEATSHIRT. TAKE OFF WET COLD TRI CLOTHES. EAT BARBECUE. What limited your ability to perform faster: bike bike bike bike Event comments: I'm saying "not organized" and "not enough volunteers" because before the race everything was chaos. I couldn't find packet pickup. They didn't have women's fit shirts. I couldn't find body marking and timing chips. Usually setup has these great huge flags so you can find things. The barbecue was AWESOME. And the people I met were great. Last updated: 2013-02-05 12:00 AM

woke up normal time, cooked breakfast, drank some coffee, and remembered i had a race to get to, so finally packed up my things and left. i like that it's close (ish) and starts late, so i can be a little lazy.
breakfast was SOOO long before the race it didn't matter that it was fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, and bacon.
nothing...huddled up inside the Y staying warm chatting with other racers while i watched the first hour worth of swimmers take off.
