Pre-race routine:

Drove down in sprinkles - early to get a good parking spot. Ate breakfast (lara bar, applesauce, diet dew) in the car and the weather cleared up...until it was time to hit the porta-potties and get to the starting line. Then it started pouring. Started the race cold and soaking wet.

Comments:

Overall rank = women only

A pretty good run; I felt solid until around mile 9-10, but then I passed the EF cheering area and got a lift. When it got hard again around mile 11.5, I thought about how much further I'll be running next spring - gotta dig deeper.
What would you do differently?:

Not much - except maybe hit the head before the race one last time...but that only cost me some 30-40 seconds.
Post race
Warm down:

Got my dry bag, food, etc. Kept walking because my calves felt like they were going to cramp. Walked up to car & drove home.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

10 pounds or so. :)

Event comments:

Great course. Great crowd support. Nice schwag this year - I love the fleece blanket and the hefty medal.
