Comments:

Swim went well. Full suit so was happy about that. Went out easy and steady and tried to just keep a decent pace. Bilatteral breathing went well. did go off course a little at least it felt like that twice. Was happy to catch prior waves. goggle worked great, no fog. did have a little sun glare making last turn. was very happy to finish in 36:24.
What would you do differently?:

not much, try to sight maybe a little better.
Transition 1
  • 03m 44s
Comments:

slow transition, put on helmet before shirt. should have swam with it on.
What would you do differently?:

swim with top. have area set up better.
Bike
  • 3h 11m 50s
  • 56 miles
  • 17.57 mile/hr
Comments:

Bike was Ok. Right about were I thought I would be. last 5 miles were getting hard. a few good hills took a little out of me and the wind. the heat started creeping up by end.
What would you do differently?:

more hard interval training. and a few more outside rides
Transition 2
  • 03m 43s
Comments:

average all around. had to text family bike was done.
Run
  • 2h 33m 1s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 11m 43s  min/mile
Comments:

In a word Brutal. My weakest disipline in the run. Was hot and humid by the time the run started. by mile 3 I knew it was going to be a long run. walked every station and by most hills. Was a long and painfull run.
What would you do differently?:

train much much more.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

The Run, hills and heat. mostly my lack of run training.

Event comments:

Great race weekend, great organization and volunteers. well put together, and post race meal great.
