Event comments: This IS the oldest triathlon in the midwest, maybe the country. The place is quaint enough to feel outdoorsy without the feel of corporate America, but it's run like a fine watch. The course is as challenging as you want to make it, except the hill at the end, which will push even the walkers. If you want to lollygag the entire thing, it will let you. If you want to push yourself, it can destroy you. You decide. The competition is fierce, but it's so huge, if you want to just go out and have fun, you can. There are so many different catigories, it's really for everyone. I think there is even a woodchuck/muskrat division. Come one, come all, it's fun, fierce, or crazy. The after race food and entertainment is second to none I've seen yet. Last updated: 2006-06-19 12:00 AM
