Pre-race routine:

Kind of on my own for this one. some people would be there i knew. Got up at 4.40 left at 5.10am Got there at 5.50. This was just about right. Did not feel rushed but did not feel too much time either. Surprised they didnt use disposable chips.

Was actually surprised how warm it was. So cold outside the water felt good! I kept on the inside and navigated well.
What would you do differently?:

At the most i may be able to squeeze another 30 seconds out of this. I kept forgetting to kick for some reason. All those kick drills wasted LOL.

So cold i took extra time to put a dry shirt on and arm warmers. Also had to put gloves on while riding so took a while to get up to speed. Also i don't normally put socks on for a sprint

Warm down:

got a waffle, walked around. Got out fairly quickly so i could still make it to 11am Church. Remember that!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not too much but i had fun!

Event comments:

Always so many new beginners at this race. I love to see that.
