Comments: 200 ppl in the water in front of me, that I had to swim thru. Also going out was pretty choppy. I took in water an many attempts to sight. Otherwise, I tried to take easy and casual. What would you do differently?: Push it harder. Swim was 14 seconds slower than last year Transition 1
What would you do differently?: Pretty decent transition. I need to be able to run faster out of the water Bike
Comments: I attempted to keep pushing the pace hard. It felt like the bike segment was over before I knew it. I was 2 minutes faster than last year What would you do differently?: I still need to work on intervals and higher end effort Transition 2
Comments: When I swung my leg over to get ready to dismount I pointed my toe too far and it ground into the pavement a little. Ouch. After that it went almost flawlessly What would you do differently?: Not grind my toe on the pavement Run
Comments: The up hills really took it out of me and slowed me down a lot. I tried to push but really did not have any more speed. What would you do differently?: I need to do some speed work and hill work. I think I had more in reserve. Post race
Warm down: Wade out into the lake to cool off my legs and then just walk around and eat. What limited your ability to perform faster: This is a relatively short distance for me. I have done zero speed work this year, so I no know where my work is cut out for me Event comments: This is a well run race where all the fast people in the region race.
