Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 3:30 AM to an impressive thunder and lighting show. Ate some oatmeal, prep'ed my race gear and headed out to T2 at 4:30. Dropped shoes off at T2 (in the rain) and hopped the bus to T1. Prep'ed the bike at T1. The rain stopped just in time for the race.

The swim into the current played to my swim strength. The current + wind created a choppy water surface. All in all a good swim.

A solid ride for the first half. Started to lose concentration during the second half of the ride and I kept finding my HR dropping into the low 130s. Had to make a concerted effort to push the bike on the second half.
