  • Comments: This was my second Rev3 race and I can't say enough good things about them. This race in particular is very well organized and is a fast course. I would absolutely love to do this one again but I don't know if I can handle the drive down again.

  • Comments: There are a lot of positives about this race. The swim in very fast. The bike is a good course that is mostly fast with a few ups and downs to keep you honest. I would recommend a new location for the second aid station as it was dangerous to be right around a curve on a downhill. The run course is nice along the Capital Trail. The swim, however, is very gross and in places not swimmable. I'm not sure what the answer is for this, but the swim is a problem.

  • Comments: The race was very well run. The two transitions still caused the organizers some issues. I was one of about 5 or 6 people whose dry clothes bag did not make it from T1 to T2. I did get an email from Rev 3 saying they located my belongings and the person who mistakenly picked them up would be mailing them back to me. I did not hit my goal time, but I was able to take some positive things away from this race. I am definitely planning to do another half and probably a full at some point

  • Comments: The race was a significant improvement over last year. The only comments for additional improvement would be to not through dry bags on top of transition gear, have porta johns at T2, and have better post-race food. The food was awful. Otherwise, the logistics and the spectator experience were significantly improved from last year.

  • Comments: There are a bunch of criticisms that could and should be levied against Rev3 for their preparedness. But, this is a first time event at Williamsburg for this company and I adjusted my expectations accordingly. Rev3 has taken accountability already and hope they can get to try this again in 2014. The Rev3 volunteers were awesome and we just loved Williamsburg and the people. Hope they sort out the kinks because it was really a fun event.

  • Comments: Overall ok, wish they would of listen to us about the current but than again it always can't be easy. There were some logistic issues with the transition bags. I am looking forward to doing this race again

  • Comments: I think REV3 has some things to work on. Finding the bags afterwards was crazy. It was more organized by the time I got there. It wasn't just a massive pile like many had to deal with. The swim was tough, I don't know if they will change it but swimming up river sucks! Overall it was still a good atmosphere and unlike some people I realize in an inaugural event there is going to be some bumps and bruises in the process. I would love to see how it changes for next year.

  • Comments: The swim setup wasn't good. The Olympic and HIM buoys were too close and blended making it confusion with all the contact and fogging. The roads whille not bad had cracked cementr for miles and miles. I felt like the bike was shuddering for forever.
