Swim
Comments: Had my best swim yet. I'm one of the few that doesn't like wearing a wetsuit, mainly because I feel constricted, however I hate cold water more. Kept running into a wall of swimmers. They finally spread out where I could get through. Had my best swim as far as sighting is concerned also. Knocked 5 minutes off my time in last year's TriRock Austin that was at the same venue. What would you do differently?: My swim hasn't gotten better, I think I can start more towards the front. Not at the front but not so far back either. Transition 1
Comments: Used a wetsuit stripper. Suit got hung up on the Garmin 910. Took some extra seconds. Its quite a ways into and out of transition. Didn't help that I was disoriented and wasted a good extra minute finding my bicycle. I didn't clip in my pedals. I wore them out of transition and it was muddy. Was worried about clogging up the cleats but it didn't happen. What would you do differently?: Spend more time practicing finding my bike in transition. Bike
Comments: Lost one water bottle when I hit a bad bump. Nursed the remaining one. It was humid so I was drinking lots. I found a good pace and stuck with it. What would you do differently?: Strap down the water bottle Transition 2
Comments: Was hard to run because the ground was so soft from the recent rains. All in all a 2:30 transition isn't so bad here. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Decent run for me. I was hurting but decided to run through it. The is my last tri for a few months and I wanted it to be a good one. The temps had not risen as much as usual and I decided to make the most of it. Lots of spectators on the course, made it fun!!! What would you do differently?: Not much, more speed work maybe Post race
Warm down: Just drank the water they gave me What limited your ability to perform faster: Training, haha. The bike equipment worked perfectly. Just need to work on the motor. Event comments: Packet pickup was a little disorganized. There was a very long line for timing chips, though I will say the line went fairly quickly. Last updated: 2013-05-28 12:00 AM

Transition opened at 5:30. My wave didn't go off until 8:14 however there was no time posted for transition closing, so I ended up getting there right after they opened. Bike was dropped off the day before so i set up the rest of my trans area and found a place to watch the pros. Drank some pickle juice and had a gel about 30 mins prior to my wave.
Just some light stretching
