Swim
Comments: Only when I went off course was I not on someone's feet on having someone on mine. Ridiculously large waves and coed--which is annoying. My head was out of the water a lot to sight and because it was so crowded. Transition 1
Comments: This has to change. I lost almost 4 minutes here and almost 3 minutes in the next one. What would you do differently?: be faster and practice Bike
Comments: This was OK. The hills were tough and I lost speed there. Also the field is so crowded that it's easy to get hung up behind people. But I felt pretty good but the rolling hills were a little much for me with my lack of training. Transition 2
Comments: lame Run
Comments: Felt pretty good. Run is definitely getting better, if not faster. Post race
Warm down: nothing much. Grabbed the print out of results. Some cookies and fruit at the end and left. Not many friends there this year. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of time on the bike and OWS/ Event comments: Too big I think. The swim is crazy every year I've done it. I've seen people do dumb things on the bike. The management is changing but to a for profit group so they probably won't limit the size.. It's so early in the season that the weather is dicey but this year was not bad, even with the late spring and cold water. But it may be time to try another venue because of the numbers. up at 5:30 am, when it was 45 degrees. I packed, put on the wheels and adjusted and was on the road by 6:45. Arrived around 7:30.
Nothing really. Set up transition and waited to start. They wanted to do some kind of Guiness record in the water--which seemed ill-advised given the cold temps.
