Swim
Comments: Time was terrible but this was a good swim for me. the current was very strong and I caught up with people in the 2 waves ahead of me. I had no problems breathing I was just slow. I have a gliding type swim stroke not good for a strong current. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1
Comments: good t1 What would you do differently?: nothing Bike
Comments: great bike my fastest doing this race. Pushed it right from start and strong finish on hills. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 2
Comments: got stuck in single lane to dismount behind very slow moving racer, this cost me some time. didn't know where to exit for run cost me couple seconds. What would you do differently?: Know where the run exit is. Run
Comments: Ran decent race, started slow after hard swim and bike but picked up pace after 1st 1/2 mile and finished strong. What would you do differently?: needed more distance in my training but couldn't due to hip injury. Happy with my time. Post race
Warm down: drink some water and had some fruit and watermelon was great. What limited your ability to perform faster: tough currents in swim and injury to hip in training. Event comments: This is a really great race. There is no better finish then the run up the hill to the Montauk Lighthouse. Last updated: 2013-07-10 12:00 AM

Get up 4:30 then had cup coffee and honey stinger waffle before heading to t1 then to t2
get wetsuit on and do some swimming. Then swam out to swim start, which was a in deep water start. water was rough and we would be swimming against a strong current.
