What would you do differently?:

More swim. After IMTX I haven't been working on speed. Garmin showed a time of 9:29, but even that is slower than it should have been.

Like last year, the RD placed this AG at the farthest point away from the swim exit, as well as the run start. Out of 41 in group, only 4 T1's were in the top 100 times, and only one of those was in the top 25. I understand that someone has to have the long run through transition, but mix it up a little instead of always giving that slot to this AG.

Even with all of the turns, I like this bike course. It is flat, with concrete surfaces, making for a fast bike. Unfortunately for me, it is fast for everyone.

Again with the long run out, this transition is tougher on this group. Only 2 of the top 100 T2's came from this group, and none in the top 75.

Breathing and HR were high from bike section. Never really got comfortable on run. Got passed by one person on run, and of course he had to be in my AG.

Event comments:

I like this race, although I do believe there are a couple areas of improvement - 1. mix up the transitions a little so that one AG doesn't have the longest run in/out each time. 2. I saw a group of people run right past the finish line (veer to the left) because the volunteer wasn't paying attention.
