Comments: Started in the middle of the pack at the back. Did not find a good rhythm, kept bumping into people. Swam front crawl without stopping for rest. Good finish, jogged out of the water ready for the bike. What would you do differently?: Start at the front or to the side. Transition 1
Comments: My T2 was slow. It was in a grassy area and I forgot my towel. Used a rag to get grass off my feet before putting on my shoes. What would you do differently?: Bring a large towel to quickly clean my feet. Bike
Comments: I attacked the hills and recovered on the flats. Lost speed and time on the fastest part of the decent on a blind corner where someone had an accident. Top speed was 36 mph. Used a road bike with gatorskins and no aero bars. What would you do differently?: Train more hills, get aero bars for the flats Transition 2
Comments: Felt slow, trouble again cleaning grass off my feet. Run
Comments: Started slow but still suffered a mild cramp 1 minute in. Walked it off and felt good by the end of mile 1. Splits were 9:22, 8:22, 8:18, 8:02, final .3 at 7min pace. What would you do differently?: Nothing. This was a great run for me. Huge improvement over my first tri. Just need to train more. Post race
