  • Comments: It was so much fun having lots of friends cheering on the course! I felt like a minor celebrity at times! My family came, including my mom, which was her first time seeing me do a tri in all these years. That was great. I just love this race, and will do it annually! Please note that I took almost FIVE minutes off my time from 2009!! And I was 7th in Master's women!

  • Comments: There were a PLENTY of drink stations for the running portion, it almost seemed like too many. I think I said 'no thank you' to about stations. I really liked this race, the course was dynamic which made it really interesting, and plenty of chances to test my decision making abilities. A GREAT race, will definitely do it next year.

  • Comments: I can foresee doing this race every year. Besides being in my own backyard, it was well-organized, had a ton of volunteers and the other racers were really nice. I missed the awards ceremony since the kids and hubby were all annoying and whining to leave....but no big deal. At least I defended my title from last year and have not been defeated as an Athena this season! I would have placed 4th in my AG, as well.... :)

  • Comments: Fun race! Awards ceremony was slow starting so the kids were getting a bit annoying wanting to leave...but mama won a gold medal and mama was staying to get it! :) Since it was a local tri, it was fun being announced as a local, that made it extra fun. I really liked this race and will definitely do it again next year. Funny piece of trivia important only to me and maybe my parents....I was conceived at Beaver Lake just over 40 years ago.
