Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 3:30 AM , eat a nice breakfast (eggs, toast, yogurt, perpetum) then walked to Bodie Marking, made sure I had everything ready in T1, T2, and special needs bags, pumped up tires and then went to the restroom, to flush everything out! Last thing was I took a gue right before the swim

Was in all! No warm up, I new it was going to be a long hot day!

Comments:

First loop, was getting kicked every second of my stoke. Second loop, went to the out side and had a nice and easy pace!
What would you do differently?:

Went harder on the second loop! The first loop I did in 35 min.

Comments:

At mile 80 on the bike I was feeling it! I didn’t think I was going to finish!
I wanted to have a negative split, didn’t happened. The first loop I did in 2:51. Felt awesome and having fun! The second loop it start to get really hot and I had a hard time eating and drinking fluids so after the hills at mile 80 I was hurting! I slowed down and let my body catch up with me and at mile 95 is when I started to feel a lot better! I spun in to T2 a little dehydrated.

What would you do differently?:

I would do more long rides and on the course it is easy to get caught up in how beautiful it is in CDA
Transition 2
  • 08m 2s
Comments:

I stayed in the tent to get caught up with fluids and food! It saved my race!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing! I felt like a King in T2! I had a guy that took off my shoes and helped me get everything organized and ready for the run! It was awesome
Run
  • 4h 45m 36s
  • 26.2 miles
  • 10m 54s  min/mile
Comments:

I stoped at there water stop and walk threw it! That saved my race! I started to drink Coke at mile 14, that was a life saver! It was a HOT run and had a fun time on the course!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing!
Post race
