Swim
Comments: Got squeezed into the buoy at the start, just had to relax and then swim a little faster after I got an opening. Was breathing evry stroke for awhile and sighting a lot. It went well. What would you do differently?: Start upstream a little more. Transition 1
Comments: Good transition. Smooth What would you do differently?: nothing Bike
Comments: Pedaled out with feet on top... forgot to loosen the velcro straps on the shoes, so that took a little bit extra. Felt great, was not passed by anyone, but passed many in front of me. What would you do differently?: Open shoes! Transition 2
Comments: Smooth again. longer run into T2 meant a little more time there, but all went well. Run
Comments: Started off and felt like I was hyperventalating. took me about 1/2 milke to get calmed down and striding. TRan intervals for the last mile. What would you do differently?: I need to train better for running. this is my weak point. Post race
Warm down: Just rested. Happy with my time (PR) and AG podium! What limited your ability to perform faster: Running Event comments: Organizers did a better job with the run this year. transition managment was good. They need a larger PA system for the swim start (even a referee whistle would have helped). They are waiting hours to present awards, and this year no AG awards. Frustrating to wait and then find that out. Last updated: 2014-03-16 12:00 AM
