Swim
Comments: Water temp wasn't too bad. Likely could have skipped the wetsuit and shaved time from T1. Might have gone out a little hot as my arms felt a little weak. What would you do differently?: Probably nothing. Transition 1
Comments: Still taking too long in transition for these short races. It's time to through a little urgency in there. What would you do differently?: Pick up the pace. Bike
Comments: Still absolutely suck on the hills. Don't get it as anytime I bike from home I have to climb out of the river bottoms which means plenty of hills. I've taken to upping my HR on the hills even when going for a Z2 ride. Popped the chain with an ill-timed gear shift near the top of a hill; cost me 20-30sec. What would you do differently?: T.I.T.S. Just not there as a biker. Wanted 20mph avg but didn't quite get it. In order to compete, I need to get to the 21-23mph range... Don't know if that will ever happen. Transition 2
Comments: Overall a better transition, but... Still taking too long in transition for these short races. It's time to through a little urgency in there. What would you do differently?: Pick up the pace. Run
Comments: Not bad. Like usual, probably could have gone a little harder. I'm always afraid of over-doing it and not being able to finish appropriately. What would you do differently?: Need to figure out how to pick up the pace without burning out. Post race
Warm down: Didn't really do anything other than some toe touches. What limited your ability to perform faster: Brain and training. Event comments: Well run. They did a good job considering the weather. Last updated: 2014-05-29 12:00 AM

Up around 415am. Did a final double-check of gear and made a peanut butter sandwich. God to site and wandered aimlessly, back to car, wandered, back to car, lather-rinse-repeat. Ate 1/2 PB sandwich around 530am and 1/2 banana around 7am.
Only warmup was rotator cuff stretches/warmups.
