Bike
Comments: Much tougher bike than expected. Lots of wind, heat, altitude, and hills. Even the "downhill" sections per the profile map had lots of climbing. What would you do differently?: Train more on hills, more riding at altitude. Come into race in better bike shape. Transition 2
Run
Comments: No water at several aid stations! Felt horrible for the first few miles, then settled in. What would you do differently?: Not much for the run specifically. Not cracking on the bike would have made for a better run. Also could have ate and drank more before run. Post race
Warm down: Lot of walking and rests in between. What limited your ability to perform faster: Altitude, hills, wind, heat...but not enough training. Event comments: Not a well organized race! Several aid stations had no water. Only had stations every 2 miles on the run. Most volunteers seemed confused or lacked info. Last updated: 2014-06-22 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5AM, Showered, got ready and drove to race site. Setup transition and walked down to swim start. Drank a protein drink and part of a bar.
