Swim
  • 21m 24s
  • 1000 meters
  • 02m 08s / 100 meters
Comments:

swim overall 166/389, female overall 47/147
What would you do differently?:

Must figure out anxiety driven hyper-ventilation :( Took until I reached 2/3-3/4 distance before breathing regulated.
Transition 1
  • 01m 47s
Comments:

always use deoderant.
What would you do differently?:

want to try clipping shoes on bike and jumping into them. means riding with no socks, ick. This race I took a little longer sitting due to swim breathing issues as I felt slow.
Bike
  • 1h 03m 7s
  • 20 miles
  • 19.01 mile/hr
Comments:

female rank 60/148, overall (men and women individual) 243/389
What would you do differently?:

could have increased speed a little more and maintained for route. Want to improve mount/dismount.
Transition 2
  • 01m 26s
Comments:

non-remarkable. poured water over my head! that felt great and worth the time.
What would you do differently?:

not much. but want to improve time, not sure where from.
Run
  • 35m 54s
  • 4 miles
  • 08m 59s  min/mile
Comments:

female rank 68/147, overal men/women individual 222/389. breathing was great.
What would you do differently?:

need to improve speed now - power. this will improve my time.
Post race
Warm down:

walk around, drink protein and water, sit, rest in shade, walk around

What limited your ability to perform faster:

myself. 1. if breathing is under control, i think i could have beat swim time 1-2 minutes. 2. would like to have HRM which helps me push myself harder on bike and Cadence meter didn't sync until after first 7 miles so was listening to body rather than numbers - this slowed me down cause I push myself based on numbers. 3. don't text while running! that slows me down but was only about 30 seconds. Need to push myself power-wise with running to gain a little more time.

Event comments:

tons of volunteers - THANK YOU!!!!, fun atmosphere. The swim start was a little confusing as they said we'd start based on time within age group, but they announced folks just to form a line.Bike and Run paths marked very well with humnas!!! I'm doing this again next year! Thanks New Town!
