Comments: HR went up as legs were tightening, so slowed down the late teens, earl y 20's so I could pick it up again the last 3 miles. What would you do differently?: nothing. My 17th marathon, 11th state, and PR by almost 6 minutes!! 4-week rest til my next double marathon. Post race

Woke at 3:30 to leave Edisto Island at 4:00 to get to Kiawah at 5:30 to take the shuttle to the start. Waited in the conference center until 30 minutes til start to get loose outside.
Couldn't stretch like I normall do, due to herniated disc that flared up Thursday, and got wors eon the 12 hour drive down the day before the race.
