  • 2112 yards
  • 02m 11s / 100 yards
Comments:

Swim went great considering i have anixiety when open water swimmig. I ended up stopping quite a bit for a breather but finally got in the rythm of thing on the back half of the swim.
What would you do differently?:

Pratice more open water swimming
Transition 1
  • 04m 50s
Comments:

Went well, could have been faster
What would you do differently?:

Pratice running to the transition after the swim, i felt light headed.
Bike
  • 3h 11m 2s
  • 56 miles
  • 17.59 mile/hr
Comments:

Awesome bike course, very fast. Even with low tire pressure 70-80psi i was impressed with my ride.
What would you do differently?:

Make sure i have plenty of time to change a tire pre-race.
Transition 2
  • 06m 26s
Comments:

Good transition, took it slow and applied more sun block.
What would you do differently?:

Not put on compression socks in T2. took probalby 1.5min total
Run
  • 2h 59m 50s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 13m 44s  min/mile
Comments:

Rough run, kept a very positive attitude though and i felt that got me to the finish. I was having numb foot, headake (probably from no sunglasses) and over heating issues in the run. The 2nd loop felt better since i was able to get a lot of fluids into me and cool down.
What would you do differently?:

Pratice more running and bike to run bricks.
Post race
Warm down:

FOUND SHADE

What limited your ability to perform faster:

This was my first 70.3 so i didnt want to kill my self. It was also very hot and not having sunglass really threw me off.

Event comments:

Lost sungalsses, low tire pressue due to broken valve stem, over heating on run, numb foot...it was a rough but awesome day and next time i will be better prepaired.\

I think the finish line could have been better, i was pretty suprised when i rounded the corner and it was there.
