Swim
Comments: My second time in Fools Hollow, and a return to the "scene of the crime" from my first race where I had multiple panic attacks in the water. This went much better! Still had a little struggle with the weeds in the lake, but the water was clear. Transition 1
Comments: I'm still working on my bike transition, and getting into my shoes on the bike. I did a lot better than the last race (LifeTime Marquee). Gave kisses to my family, that still is the best part of racing for me. What would you do differently?: Work on getting into the shoes on the bike. Bike
Comments: With only 110 Olympic participants, its a lonely course. Also, someone yelled "ON YOUR LEFT" at about mile 5, I nearly fell off my bike I was so scared. What would you do differently?: Still really need to work on hydration and calorie consumption (eating vs drinking) Transition 2
Comments: My legs would not turn over off the bike. Got to kiss the family again. What would you do differently?: Again I still need to work on my transitions. Run
Comments: I need to work on paying attention to my body and reacting appropriately. It was the first hot run of the season for me, so it was hard, but I could of hydrated and cooled down better. What would you do differently?: hydrated more, poured more water/ice/sponges on my head and back. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: The heat on the course, bike and run, and not be adapted to it. Pretty bad allergies causing a lot of nasal congestion, really helped zap some energy from me. Event comments: This race was MUCH better than last years. I'm glad the organizers were able to push it earlier into the year. TriSports Racing did a great job on this race, I'm glad to have them back. It's a tough course for me, and the competition was fierce. Friendly and Fun, and pretty hard. I'm definitely coming back! Last updated: 2014-12-16 12:00 AM
