Comments: Felt comfortable in the water, but only breathed on my left side. I normally breath bilaterally in the pool. The wet suit certainly helped with buoyancy. What would you do differently?: More open water, distance swims are needed. Transition 1
Comments: Struggled to get my wet suit off my arms and shoulders. What would you do differently?: Practice removing my wet suit. Bike
Comments: Out and back turnaround ride. Good terrain, but the last set of hills killed my legs for the run. What would you do differently?: Practice more hilly rides. Transition 2

Comments: The rolling hills killed my legs. Had to stop a couple of times and walk, which is unusual. What would you do differently?: Practice more bike/run bricks with more hills. Also, need to do some speed work to build strength. Post race
Warm down: Took off wet shirt and put on the dry race shirt and a jacket to stay warm. Walked around and stretched. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of bike/run bricks to prepare my legs for the run. I had absolutely no leg strength. Also, I may have needed fueling, but not really sure. Got up at 4:00 am, ate a bagel with peanut butter, and drank a cup of coffee. Lots of water.
Jogged and stretched. Took a dip in the lake and swam about 100 yards.
