Swim
Comments: This was my best swim ever. Despite having the strap on my backup goggles break right at the start (I was able to keep the right goggle suctioned to my eye), I was able to stay calm, waited for 2 seconds after the horn and tucked in behind the first wave. Was relaxed and smooth on the strokes and was able to draft better than I have ever done before. What would you do differently?: Work on increasing pace and sighting. Garmin revealed not as straight of a line as I thought I was swimming. Transition 1
Comments: Was a bit dizzy getting out of the water. Took me a little while on the run to get oriented. What would you do differently?: May want to try attaching shoes to pedals instead of running with bike shoes. Bike
Comments: felt like I was flying. What would you do differently?: Some 45-49 AGers passed me late in the bike course so while this was my strongest event - it looks like I need to avg about 27mph to be a contender Transition 2
What would you do differently?: I missed my bike spot and had to backtrack. I might want to consider a brighter transition towel/mat to catch my eye when there are no other bikes around. May have been able to shave 15 seconds if I hadn't had that little mishap. Run
Comments: Started off well. Felt good, HR was fairly low at start. What would you do differently?: This was my weakest event and there is a ton of improvement to be made here. I should be able to shave the most time off this portion and be closer to 6 min/mile pace. Sub-6 would be ideal, but given that I ran 6:40/min/mile avg pace for just the 10k, not sure how realistic that would be Post race
Warm down: Water and stretch. walked around and chatted with fellow competitors. What limited your ability to perform faster: First was the run - just need to increase my pace. Second would be the swim. even though I was relaxed - need a faster pace on the swim to be able to compete at a higher level. Event comments: Race was well organized, as it should be expected. Nice race swag and finishers medal. Loved the jacket the participants got. Live streaming and results were cool for those who could not make the trip to WI. Last updated: 2015-05-01 12:00 AM

Had PB and banana at 630am. Drank 2 glasses of water and some swigs of coconut/pineapple water.
15 minute run before getting into wetsuit. Was not able to get bike out of transition, since T1 closed at 7:25.
