Swim
Comments: My life has been busy and although I've been able to train on the bike and have been running, I haven't been in a swimming pool since last August. Wasn't sure how this swim would work out so just took things slow and steady. Swam only a minute faster last year on actual swim training...don't know what that says about my training plan! What would you do differently?: Not take a 9 month hiatus from swimming. Transition 1
Comments: included couple hundred yard run from pond to transition. Took it easy since I have no swimming fitness and wanted to settle the HR before the bike. Bike
Comments: After last tri season I decided I needed to spend some serious time in the saddle on the off-season to improve my bike fitness. Hit trainerroad hard and saw some moderate improvements. Biked the same course as last year 1mph faster so can't complain. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Not my best effort. I ran almost 2 mins faster last year on worse run fitness. Since I felt I didn't overcook the bike, I'm guessing my lack of swim fitness caught up to me by the run. Post race
