Pre-race routine:

Spent the night in Cary...got up around 5am. Had coffee and a peanut butter sandwich and off Scott and I drove to the race!

Comments:

This was my first pool swim. I had not practiced swimming in lanes or with other people. I had put my time down as 6 minutes but I realize now I should have put a little faster. I got stuck behind a few people and didn't know how to pass. I found it frustrating...
I noticed a lot of people wore swim caps. I had never worn one before so I thought this was not the time to try it out.
What would you do differently?:

Put a faster time down so I am slotted with people who swim around the same time as me.

I still was a little upset over the swim...it got me a bit flustered so of course I fumbled with stuff in the transition area.
