Swim
Comments: Not my best swim but decent. Did not put a lot of effort into swim training so I was a little from my PB on this course. What would you do differently?: Not much Transition 1
Comments: Sandy transition area so I spent a couple seconds getting my feet cleaned off. Got a little tripped up trying to clip in. Don't know what happened there. Bike
Comments: Felt real good on the bike. Was able to maintain a good pace through without burning up my legs. Transition 2
Comments: Long transition area so I had to keep my eyes open to find my gear. Learned from previous times at this race and had my area "marked." Run
Comments: The last two times I did this race, I really struggled with the run. It always seems hot and humid for this race and I would just fall apart. Fortunately that did not happen this time around. I felt good the whole time. There were some folks in the neighborhood that setup a sprinkler and were handing out ice pops which was awesome. Post race
Warm down: Walked around to cool off and had some water. Cheered on some people I knew as they finished. Event comments: I always like doing this race. For a small local race it tends to bring out some really good local competition. It is also a good course for beginners. As always the volunteers were great. Last updated: 2015-07-24 12:00 AM

Was a little hectic. We have a hobby farm and chores took a lot longer this morning for what ever reason. Threw me off my typical routine. Once that stuff was done and I cleaned up, I had a waffle with PB and coffee.
This race has separate transition areas. You check in at the Y, setup your bike/run transition and then make your way over to the lake to setup the swim/bike transition. Once I was setup, saw a friend and we chatted for a while. He was pointing out some real strong local athletes and said it should be a good race.
