Run
Comments: I did well on Miles 1-5. I was at an 8:00/mi pace at 5. Lost my under 1 hr finish on miles 6, and 7. Just couldn't push hard enough. What would you do differently?: Train harder for racing. My training has consisted mainly of long, slow runs. Just trying to shave seconds off of long run pace each time. I will need to do 5-10K's at hard steady pace. Lots more tempo and interval stuff. Post race
Warm down: Nice 1/2 mile walk through shoot to get t-shirts while mixing it up with the folks. What limited your ability to perform faster: Under trained for the circumstance. Event comments: Be nice to see a beer garden at the finish line with some quality craft brews from around the PNW. Last updated: 2016-02-28 12:00 AM

Woke up. Ate two pieces of toast w/ butter and jam. Drove to event. Parked. Walked to starting line. Waited with 10,000 other yellow group starters till 9:05. This race starts in waves. Yellow is the second wave to go.
Jumped up and down a few times while standing amidst the mass of humanity that is the worlds largest road race.
Channeled my energy to positive motivation.
