Swim
Comments: More water up my nose than necessary. Was stuck in the front third of the pack at the start and got run over. What would you do differently?: Swim more so I have more confidence. My speed was much better than I expected, and I'm content with my speed. Make sure I'm in the BACK of the pack at the start. Transition 1
Comments: Wheeeeee! What would you do differently?: Not sit and eat a snack and chat with other racers from relay teams who didn't actually have to transition... Bike
Comments: The best part of the whole race! I sang and hooted and hollered the whole way. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Except maybe get off my bike for the hill up to the bridge and just run it, since so many women were falling off their bikes and stopping dead in front of me. I'd rather just take it on foot due to the danger from other participants. Transition 2
Comments: A good bit faster, but tried to leave with my gloves still on! What would you do differently?: Speed it up a bit, but it was ok. (no chatting, no sitting!) Run
Comments: Lots of fun, chatted with other walkers, lots of high fives with other Team Survivors. Started crying at the finish line. Complete strangers were cheering for me and it was overwhelming! What would you do differently?: Racewalk. Post race
Warm down: Wandering around the expo. What limited your ability to perform faster: Being a newbie. Focussed on having fun, which is GOOD. Event comments: Wonderful for a first-timer. Will do it again (faster!) next year. Last updated: 2006-08-26 12:00 AM

Mostly biking, with some swimming and walking.
Ate a huge breakfast. No other warm-up, other than hyperactive excitement!
